Privacy policy
Business Pulse is designed to collect as little user information as practical.
What the site processes
Normal web requests are delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare Web Analytics is used for aggregate performance and traffic measurement. The current configuration excludes visitors connecting through Cloudflare data centers in the EEA/EU and the other locations covered by Cloudflare's exclusion option from the RUM beacon.
At the application level, a CSV export records only the event type, entity, and time so we can measure whether the export feature is useful. Business Pulse does not create an account identifier, store the browser user-agent, or intentionally store a visitor IP address in this event table. Export-intent events are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Cookies and accounts
This version of Business Pulse does not provide user accounts and does not add its own advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics RUM beacon does not use browser storage such as cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. If advertising or additional analytics are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those features are enabled.
Business data
Business-condition data shown on this site comes from public U.S. Census Bureau BTOS data. Raw public source snapshots and derived observations may be stored in Cloudflare R2 and D1 to operate, validate and troubleshoot the service. These are statistical data, not customer records submitted to Business Pulse.
Infrastructure providers
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, storage, database, queue and analytics infrastructure. Like other web infrastructure providers, it may process technical request data under its own terms and privacy documentation as necessary to deliver and protect the service.
